Frequently asked questions
How is apinn different from an odds aggregator?
Aggregators cover dozens of sportsbooks but only expose the main markets, and often use Pinnacle merely as a fair-odds reference. apinn does the opposite: one book — the one the market prices against — in full depth: alternate lines, every period, team totals, specials (props, outrights), opening, closing and CLV.
Are the odds really real-time?
Yes, on every plan including Starter. Collection runs as a push feed straight from the book (no polling), and changes reach the API in under a second. The Sharp plan adds WebSocket/SSE streaming so you receive every delta without polling.
Which sports and markets are covered?
Around twenty sports worldwide — soccer (all leagues), tennis, basketball, baseball, hockey, esports and more — with moneyline/1X2, spreads, totals and team totals, alternate lines included, per period. Specials markets (goalscorers, props, outrights) are included in the Sharp plan.
What are true odds and CLV?
True odds are the book's prices with the margin removed (devig), computed server-side with a choice of models — the market's reference probability. CLV (closing line value) compares the odds you took against the closing line: the standard measure of whether you beat the market.
How do the request quotas work?
Each plan has an hourly request quota (1,000, 10,000 or 20,000), reset at the top of every hour (UTC). Beyond it, the API returns 429 until the next hour. You can move to a higher tier at any time.
Can I try, switch plans or cancel?
Yes. Every plan starts with a 2-day free trial with full access to the chosen tier. Billing is monthly, quarterly (−10%) or yearly (−20%), with no commitment: switch or cancel whenever you want.
